I started the PhD education at School of Social Work autumn 2012. Before that I worked at the department as a research assistant and lecturer. I have bachelor degree as a social worker (socionom) from Stockholm University, a master's degree in social work from Lund University, and I have practiced social work in various fields.
In my PhD project I explore everyday life and living conditions of young people living in rural areas in Sweden. I'm interested in the organization of young people's everyday lives. On the one hand, I examine how young people themselves organize their daily lives, such as how they overcome large geographical distances to friends or activities, how they handle school choice, or how they go about to practice their interests. On the other hand, I examine how young people relate to how adults organize young people´s lives, how they navigate for example youth club activities, parents' arrangements or YouTube channel content. I work with ethnographic methods and I do ethnografic fieldwork in a village in a rural area in Sweden.
