My PhD project concerns welfare work with undocumented migrants and how different actors experience the possibilities and limits of this work. Theoretically, I am interested in migration in relation to the Scandinavian welfare states, and the roles of civil society as a space for negotiations of citizenship. I am also interested in feminist and postcolonial theory and theories on place/space.
I am a member of the research group “Civil Society and Social Work” (CSSA) and in WelMi, a PhD network for research on immigration, integration & welfare research group.
I have a Master in Sociology from Lund University and my thesis (on young women’s experienced safety in Malmö) can be downloaded here: Master thesis
I also have a one-year Master in Social Work from Malmö University. My thesis was part of an evaluation of a care program for drug addicts in Malmö and can be downloaded here: One-year master thesis
