New book on welfare in a postgrowth society

A new book by Max Koch, professor in social policy at the School of Social Work, and Milena Buchs (University of Leeds) presents a detailed and critical discussion about how human wellbeing can be improved in a postgrowth era.

One of the reviewers writes :

“Endless economic growth will destroy the planet but a post-growth economy threatens security and wellbeing. Büchs and Koch provide an honest and concise account of the dilemma and a guide to some ways forward.”

(Ian Gough, Emeritus Professor of Social Policy at the University of Bath, Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics)
