Håkan Jönson and Tove Harnett, researchers at The School of Social Work, and Annika Taghizadeh Larsson (Linköping University) and Stina Johansson (Umeå University) have received 3.1 million from the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte) for the project "Would a disability model mean better care for the elderly?"
In June 2014 Forte announced SEK 15 million in funding for 1-3 year project grants for research about ageing and health. The background is the focus on aging and health, which is described in the government's proposition Research and Innovation (2012/13: 30).
